Decide when to use a direct job and when to work from an accepted quote.

  • Do not save, send, collect, or archive when you are only reviewing.
  • Use real United States service names such as roofing, gutters, HVAC, window cleaning, or exterior painting.

1. When to use a direct job

  1. Use a direct job for approved work that did not go through a formal quote.
  2. It is useful for repeat visits, internal work, or simple services.
  3. Still complete customer, services, dates, and amount carefully.

2. When it comes from a quote

  1. Use a job from quote when the customer accepted scope and price.
  2. The detail page will show the related quote.
  3. The app also shows that the job already has a quote.

  1. On quote-linked jobs, services and price come from the quote.
  2. You can review dates, times, and notes from the job.
  3. To change scope or price, open the related quote.

Means: The job came from a quote.

Next step: Do not treat it as a direct job.

Converted

Means: The quote is related to the job.

Next step: Use that history as the source.

Scheduled

Means: The job is on the schedule.
