How automations work

Use Automations to create follow-ups automatically when events such as a sent quote happen.

1. Review the engine and list

  1. Go to Settings > Automations.
  2. Confirm whether the automation engine is active.
  3. Review name, trigger, timing, performance, and status.

2. Understand one rule

  1. A rule combines a trigger with one or more steps.
  2. In the example, Quote sent creates a call follow-up 3 days after the sent date.
  3. The Active state means the rule can create follow-ups automatically.

3. Review before changing

  1. Open the rule to read instructions, timing, and available variables.
  2. Do not change the engine or save a rule without reviewing how it affects your team.
  3. Use performance to confirm whether the automation is creating follow-ups.

Automation engine active

Enabled rules can create follow-ups every hour.
