How to edit reminder templates

Edit instructions, timing, and variables in an automation before saving changes that will create follow-ups for the team.

1. Open the automation

  1. Go to Settings > Automations.
  2. Open the rule you want to review.
  3. The editor shows condition, steps, instructions, and variables.

2. Edit instructions and timing

  1. Review the name and trigger.
  2. Adjust days, time, and follow-up type if your team process changed.
  3. Edit Instructions for the team with clear text for the call, email, or task.

3. Use visible variables

  1. Use buttons such as Customer name, Quote #, Quote total, or Quote link to insert document details.
  2. Keep the message understandable even if a variable is empty.
  3. Save only when you are sure the team should use the new template.

Active

The automation can create follow-ups.

The step creates a call follow-up.

Auto-complete
